Safe and intuitive navigation control without letting go of the grips
The original Garmin Handlebar Controller is an advanced accessory that brings navigation control directly to the rider's thumb. It allows for full device management without the need to take hands off the handlebars or touch the screen, significantly increasing safety during off-road riding, in the rain, or when wearing heavy gloves.
Key product features:
Intuitive Map Control: Dedicated buttons allow for instant zooming in and out of the map view and quick toggling between preferred map layers (e.g., topographic / satellite imagery) without stopping.
Device and Feature Management: The controller enables music playback control, waypoint marking, and seamless menu navigation, allowing the rider to stay focused on the trail ahead.
Rugged Reliability: Engineered for extreme conditions, the device features an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Hardwired power from the vehicle ensures consistent performance even in extreme temperatures where battery-powered devices might fail.
Versatile Mounting: The kit includes flexible mounting solutions compatible with most standard handlebars: 22.2 mm (7/8"), 25.4 mm (1"), and 31.75 mm (1 1/4").
Specification and Compatibility:
Intended Use: Specifically designed for the latest generation of Garmin navigators: zūmo® XT2 and the Tread® series (Tread 2, SxS Edition, Overland, XL, Baja Chase).
Important Note: This product is NOT compatible with the older 5.5" zūmo® XT or first-generation Tread® devices.
Installation: Requires connection to the navigation's power harness/cradle connector. For zūmo® XT2 models, a compatible adapter (often included in Group Ride Tracker kits) is required.
Power: Hardwired (from vehicle power), ensuring constant readiness for every journey.
